What does the limited hardware warranty cover?
The Hardware warranty covers the repair and if repair is notpossible then replacement of any Laptop or PC purchased from us for the periodspecified in the invoice, receipt or other relevant sales documentation. Thewarranty cover starts from the date of purchase and ends at the periodspecified.
What are the conditions for validity of the limited hardware warranty?
Our warranty is dependent upon:
proper use of the product(s) and does not cover any parts ofthe product which have been modified or repaired without our prior writtenconsent.
the warranty sticker not being tampered with /broken /removed / effort was made to open the product. Any such efforts void thewarrant cover.
Customers allowing our technical staff reasonable access totheir computer hardware for the purposes of diagnosing problems and carryingout repairs. Such access may include remote desktop support. If access isdenied then we do not have any liability under the limited hardware warranty torepair or replace the hardware items.
What is not covered by limited hardware warranty?
Our limited hardware warranty does not apply to:
- Software, including without limitation, the operating systemand software added to the hardware products, third-party software or thereloading of software.
- Any accessories that come with the laptop or computer.
- The consumable components such as batteries or AC cable orchargers
- External causes such as accidents, abuse, misuse or problems with electrical power.
- Usage that is not in accordance with product manufacturer’s instructions.
Failure to follow the product manufacturer’s instructions or failure to perform preventive maintenance.
- software or hardware loaded onto or connected to the product by the Customer where this software in unlicensed or the software or hardware has not been supplied by smarttechstore.
- An accident, hazard, humidity control, severe weatherconditions, electrical stress or other environmental conditions not commonlyfound in a safe home or office environment or
Normal wear and tear
- Cosmetic damage, including but not limited to scratches, dents and broken plastic on ports;
Damage caused by use with another product;
- Damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, liquid contact, fire, or other external cause;
- Damage caused by service (including upgrades and expansions) performed by a party other than smarttechstore or a party authorized by it in writing prior to carrying out the servicing.
Product with missing or altered serial numbers
- Any delivery charges for returning the products to us (For first repair, we will cover the delivery charges). Customers bear the responsibility for damage to the product during shipment.
